Little Red Riding Hood - Game Script

Background

This game gives you an insider's view of Little Red Riding Hood. What was really going on in the woods when she met the wolf? What did her grandmother really say to the wolf? How did the wolf manage to fool Little Red Riding Hood, or did he? Why did the hunter suddenly show up, just in the knick of time?

By going behind the scenes and taking on the roles of Little Red, Mr. Wolf, the Hunter and Grandma, you will finally know what really happened there.

Characters

Little Red Riding Hood Granddaughter

You are a 9 year old little girl. You live with your mother in the forest. Your grandmother lives on the other side of the forest. You love to visit her and you try to go at least twice a week.

Your mother is always telling you to be careful when you go out alone because you don't really pay attention to what is going on around you. You lose track of time and are always willing to talk to anyone and everyone you see. You believe everyone is good and refuse to believe that anyone can be bad or have ulterior motives for doing what they do.

Your Task

You have to explain exactly what happened the day you went to your grandmother's house. You have to let the others understand why you stopped to talk to the wolf and how you felt when you saw him.

You didn't think he was dangerous in any way. In fact he seemed very sweet.

His idea to get flowers for your grandmother was something you truly liked and decided to do.

You really thought the wolf in the bed was your grandmother, because she was sick and you weren't really sure what was wrong with her, so the gruff voice made sense as did the red eyes.

Resources

Mr. Wolf Big Bad Wolf

You live in the forest, next door to Grandma (Little Red's grandmother). You are good friends with Grandma but no one knows about it. You both share secrets no one knows.

You spend your days in the forest and give people advice on where to do and ideas for what to do. Once, a while back, you attacked a man who was trying to hurt you and since then you've developed a reputation for being dangerous and attacking people.

Your Task

You have to explain what really happened that day. You saw Little Red Riding Hood walking towards Grandma's house and you knew she would get there very early. However, Grandma didn't want any visitors and she told her daughter, Little Red's mother, that she was sick. In fact, she was having lunch with Mr. Hunter, her boyfriend. No one knows about the relationship but she told you.

You wanted to help Grandma by making sure Little Red doesn't walk in on them, so you suggested some flowers.

You ran to Grandma's house, told her what's going on you both came up with a scheme. Describe the scheme.

When Little Red asked you about your eyes, nose and mouth, you got flustered. You weren't sure what to say so you fell back on your bad reputation, hoping to scare her and she'd go home.

Grandma Grandmother

You are Little Red's grandmother, her mother's mother. You love your granddaughter very much but sometimes want time to yourself, without your daughter or granddaughter interfering with your life.

You live in the forest next door to Mr. Wolf. You two have become good friends and confidants of late. He's the only one who knows your secrets.

Your Task

You have to explain what really happened that day.

In order to keep your daughter and granddaughter away you told them you were sick. You didn't think they would just pop in.

You were having an intimate lunch with Mr. Hunter when Mr. Wolf banged on your door to tell you that Little Red is on her way. He managed to stall her but she'd be there any minute. Mr. Wolf knows you don't want anyone to know, at least not yet, about your relationship.

When Mr. Wolf banged on the door, and told you what was going on, you both came up with a scheme to try to fool Little Red while you and Mr. Hunter slip away. You gave him some of your clothes and a kerchief to wear for the scheme.

You and Mr. Hunter would come back just in the nick of time.
