CAND FC restructures toward V.League: Transferring PVF-CAND youth academy to Hung Yen FC

On the morning of August 13, 2026, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Public Security held a ceremony to announce the transfer of the PVF-CAND youth football training center to Hung Yen Football Club. The event was attended by General Luong Tam Quang, Politburo member and Minister of Public Security, along with leaders of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and Hung Yen provincial authorities. This is a strategic step to comprehensively restructure the Cong An Nhan Dan (CAND) Football Club ahead of the 2026/27 season, with the goal of promotion to V.League. The transfer of the youth academy not only ensures continuity of the training system but also frees resources for the first team to focus on promotion goals. Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Luong Tam Quang emphasized: "CAND Club needs to develop worthy of its name, in a professional, modern and sustainable direction." The Minister also required the club to continue contributing positively to the national team, following the success at the 2026 AFF Cup. Regarding personnel, CAND Club retains its current coaching staff to ensure continuity. The team welcomes new signings: goalkeeper Dinh Trieu, striker Viktor Le, and Minh Vuong. Notably, the coaching staff has high expectations for young players Ly Duc, Thanh Nhan, and Minh Phuc in the upcoming season. Major General Duong Duc Hai, Chairman of CAND Club, affirmed: "We are committed to seriously implementing the Minister's directives, striving to become a leading professional club, aiming not only for V.League but also reaching regional and continental levels."
